You all know that Yves Saint Laurent, that big, fancy name, right? They make those YSL ENVELOPE BAG, everyone talking about them. I saw one the other day, shiny and new. They call it a “flagship store” find in internet, whatever that means. Sounds important, though. Big store, I guess, with lots of these bags.
This YSL ENVELOPE BAG, it’s like a little pocketbook, but fancy. They call it an “envelope” cause it folds over like one, I reckon. But it ain’t for mail, no sir! This is for your important things, like your money, maybe some lipstick if you’re feeling fancy. One lady said it’s made of lambskin, soft like a baby lamb. Can you believe that? Paying all that money for a little bit of lamb skin!
And the colors! They got all kinds. Black, white, even some bright ones that’d make a peacock jealous. And they all got that shiny YSL thing on the front. That’s how you know it’s the real deal, I guess. You see that YSL, and you know it’s gonna cost you a pretty penny. They call that the logo or something, its the letters YSL all fancy like.
Now, I saw these bags online, on that internet thing. They got pictures of ’em, all lined up like little soldiers. They call it a “collection” on some place called “Neiman Marcus”, fancy, huh? You can click on ’em, see all the different ones. They got big ones, small ones, some with long straps, some with short ones. Enough to make your head spin!

They even got a name for one of them, “Envelope Triquilt Small YSL.” Sounds like something you’d order at a fancy restaurant, don’t it? And they talk about a review, some lady talking about her YSL ENVELOPE BAG. They call it a “Medium Monogram Envelope Matelasse Leather”. What a mouthful! You’d need a whole afternoon just to say the name of that thing!
I hear them young girls talking about these bags all the time, about this YSL ENVELOPE BAG. They say it’s the latest thing, you know, the “in” thing. Gotta have one to be somebody, I guess. Me? I don’t need no fancy bag to be somebody. My old purse does just fine. But I gotta admit, those YSL ENVELOPE BAG, they sure are pretty.
And they got a “store”, a special place just for these Saint Laurent things, and its online. They say you can go there and look at all the bags they got. Handbags, they call ’em. Fancy name for a purse, ain’t it? They even got a “collection” of YSL ENVELOPE BAG, just that one kind. That’s a lot of envelopes!
This YSL ENVELOPE BAG, they say it’s “iconic”. That means everyone knows it when they see it, I guess, thanks to that big, gold YSL on the front. It’s like a secret code, you know? You see that YSL, and you know you’re looking at something special. Something expensive, too.
They say its “timeless”, too, this YSL ENVELOPE BAG. Means it never goes out of style. Like a good pair of shoes, I guess. You can wear it year after year, and it’ll still be the right thing. But I don’t know, trends change so fast these days. Hard to keep up with all that foolishness. One day it’s this, the next day it’s that. Gives me a headache just thinking about it!
This one bag, they say it’s made of lambskin and it’s “vertical”. I reckon that means it’s tall instead of wide. They sure do have a lot of ways to describe a simple bag, don’t they? But even I gotta say, they are kinda pretty, those YSL ENVELOPE BAG. Shiny and new, with that big YSL on the front. They catch your eye, that’s for sure. Maybe that’s why all the girls want one. To have something pretty to carry around, something to show off. I guess there’s nothing wrong with that. We all like pretty things, don’t we?
