This here watch, the Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G-011, I hear folks talkin’ ’bout it. They say it’s a remake, a new version of some fancy old watch. Well, I ain’t no expert, but I seen a picture or two. It’s got a black face, and the numbers, they’re all shiny. Some folks like that kinda thing. Me? I just need to know the time, you know? Don’t need no fancy Patek Philippe to do that.
But this Calatrava 6007G-011, they say it’s special. Got some yellow on it, this one does. Makes it stand out, I guess. Like a sunflower in a field of corn. Not that I see many sunflowers ’round here anymore. Mostly just corn and soybeans. Anyway, they call it a “quote,” like it’s some kind of sayin’ or somethin’. I don’t know about all that. Just a watch, far as I can tell. But a costly one, for sure.
They say this Patek Philippe company, they been makin’ watches since, well, a long time ago. 1839, I heard someone say. That’s before my time, that’s for sure! My grandpa, he had a pocket watch. Kept it on a chain. Wasn’t no Patek Philippe Calatrava, though. Just a regular watch. Told the time just fine. He didn’t need no fancy name on it.
Now, they got different models, I guess. This 6007G-011, that’s just one of ’em. They got others, I reckon. With different colors, maybe. Don’t know for sure. But they all got that Calatrava name on ’em. Must mean somethin’ to somebody. Just means “expensive” to me. But it’s 40mm, that is big enough to see, I guess.

If it makes ’em happy, who am I to judge? Just don’t see the need to spend all that money on a watch, though. Could buy a lot of other things with that kind of money.
This Calatrava 6007G-011, I heard they made it special, for some reason. Some new building or somethin’. Don’t rightly recall. They like to celebrate, these Patek Philippe folks. With fancy watches. I reckon if you got the money, you can do that. Celebrate whatever you want. With whatever you want.
They say it’s got shapes and colors, this watch. Geometric, I heard someone say. Sounds fancy. Probably is. I don’t know nothin’ about geometric shapes, that sounds like some math and I sure don’t know about that. Just know it’s a watch. A Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G-011, to be exact. That’s what they call it. A mouthful, ain’t it?
They say next year, it’ll be 90 years since they made the first one of these Calatrava watches. That’s a long time. Longer than I been alive, that’s for sure. Must be an important watch, then. To last that long. And for folks to still be talkin’ about it.
You can find these watches on some special place, I hear. They sell ’em for a lot of money. And folks buy ’em. I seen the number 51, means there are 51 of this 6007G-011 thing. Like I said, to each their own. If you got the money, and you want a fancy watch, I guess this Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G-011 is the one for you. Just ain’t for me, that’s all.
I’m happy with my old watch. Tells the time just fine. Don’t need no fancy name or no yellow color. Just need to know when it’s time to feed the chickens, and when it’s time to eat supper. That’s all that matters to me. This Patek Philippe Calatrava, it’s a whole other world. One I don’t know much about, and don’t need to, I reckon. But this 6007G-011, I guess it is a good one, for those who like this kind of stuff.
