So, I got this idea to try and make my own version of the YSL JUNE BOX BAG. Yeah, the “original order” one. I’ve been looking at this bag for a while now, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” It’s that famous one with the cool metal YSL logo thingy and all that fancy diamond stitching. First, I needed to get all the stuff to make it. I went around to a few shops, looking for some good quality leather, some shiny metal bits for the logo, and all the other things I’d need. It took a while, but I found some pretty good stuff that I thought would work.
Getting Started:
- First up, I made a pattern. I looked at a bunch of pictures of the real bag online, and tried to draw out something similar. It wasn’t easy, but I managed to make something that looked about right.
- Then, I used the pattern to cut out the leather. This was a bit tricky. I had to be really careful not to mess up, ’cause I didn’t want to waste the good leather I bought.
Putting It All Together
Next, I started sewing the pieces together. I don’t have one of those fancy sewing machines, so I did it all by hand. It took forever, but I didn’t mind. I like making stuff with my hands. It’s kinda relaxing, you know? I stitched on the lining, made the pockets, and even managed to do that diamond quilting thing. It wasn’t perfect, but it looked pretty good, if I do say so myself.
The Logo
- The hardest part was probably the logo. I tried to make it look like the real YSL one, but it’s not easy to get that perfect. I ended up using some metal pieces I found and glued them together. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s got the same vibe, you know?
The Finishing Touches
Finally, I added the chain strap and the little clasp thingy. I found some decent ones at the store, so they worked out pretty well. And, voila! I had my very own homemade YSL JUNE BOX BAG.
It’s not the same as the real thing, of course. But, hey, it looks pretty close, and I made it myself! That’s gotta count for something, right? I even used it a couple of times when I went out. Got a few compliments, too! People thought it was the real deal. So, yeah, that’s my little project. It was fun, took a lot of time, but totally worth it. Maybe I’ll try making another bag sometime. But for now, I’m pretty happy with my “original order” YSL JUNE BOX BAG remake.
