Well, folks, today I’m gonna tell you about my little project here – remaking the Yves Saint Laurent YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. Yeah, that’s the one, the fancy bag from that French luxury brand, Saint Laurent, or YSL, whatever you wanna call it. Sounds posh, right? But a bag’s a bag, I always say.
So, first off, I got my hands on some pictures of this thing, the BLACK LE CARRé satchel in BOX SAINT LAURENT. Looked pretty sturdy in the photos, like it could handle a bit of rough and tumble and still look classy. I figured it was probably made of some high-end leather, you know, the good stuff.
Next, I started hunting around for materials. I didn’t find any tags or special markings, but I managed to get some leather that felt pretty similar. Then came the real work – cutting, stitching, and all that jazz. It wasn’t easy, I gotta admit. This ain’t my first rodeo, but every project has its own quirks, you see. I spent hours, days even, working on this bag, making sure every stitch was just right.
After a lot of trial and error, a few messed up pieces, and maybe a swear word or two, I finally put together something that looked like the real deal. It was a bit of a pain in the rear to be honest. There was sweat, a little bit blood, and a whole lotta tears.
I saw online some folks were selling similar bags for over $2000! Can you believe that? And get this, even if you buy one of these fancy bags from their store or website, they do offer a repair service. Imagine paying all that dough and still needing repairs!
Anyways, I’m pretty proud of how my YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG turned out. It’s got that same boxy shape, that same fancy look, and I reckon it’s just as durable as the original. Plus, I made it with my own two hands, and that’s something special, isn’t it? I even heard that the original comes in some wild variations, like python and calfskin. Maybe I’ll try one of those next time. Who knows, I might even start a whole new trend!
