Okay, so today I really wanted to get my hands on a Fendi Baguette bag. I’ve been seeing it everywhere and it’s just so iconic. It’s like, the “it” bag. I remember seeing it on “Sex and the City” years ago and I’ve wanted one ever since. So, I started my mission to find the perfect one.
I started by doing some research online. I learned that the Baguette was designed in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi. That’s pretty cool, right? Apparently, it wasn’t even called the Baguette at first. A journalist called it that because you wear it under your arm “like a French bread”. That’s a pretty good description and quite funny. It became super famous after it was featured on “Sex and the City.” No wonder. So I thought I should totally get one, you know, to be all trendy and stuff. I set my mind on a classic brown Zucchino one. The value of the bag is also really good, I mean, it retains over 100% of its value. How great is that!
First, I checked out some local stores, like those fancy department stores. You know the ones with the shiny floors and the salespeople who look at you funny if you’re not dressed up? Yeah, those. No luck. They had some Fendi bags, but not the one I wanted, or they were way too expensive. And you know, I’m not made of money.
Then I spent hours, and I mean HOURS, browsing online. Flipping through pages and pages of bags. My eyes were starting to glaze over. So many options. Too many, maybe. I just wanted that specific brown one, you know? I finally found a few that looked promising. They were pre-owned, but in good condition. I’m totally fine with pre-owned, as long as it looks good.
After comparing prices and scrutinizing every single picture, I finally made my choice. Boom! Ordered. It was a bit of a splurge, but I’ve been saving up. Plus, it’s an investment, right? That’s what I’m telling myself.
The waiting was the hardest part. I was checking the tracking information like every five minutes. Finally, the glorious day arrived. The package was at my door. I ripped that box open like a kid on Christmas morning.
- And there it was. My very own Fendi Brown Zucchino Mama Forever Baguette Shoulder Bag.
- It was perfect. The leather was so soft, and the color was even better in person.
- I immediately slung it over my shoulder, and it fit just right.
I took like a million selfies, naturally. I felt so chic, so stylish. Just like Carrie Bradshaw. Mission accomplished. Now I just need to figure out where to show it off. Maybe I’ll just wear it to the grocery store. Why not, right? Life’s too short to save your good stuff for special occasions. You feel me?
Finding this bag was really a journey, but it was absolutely worth it.
It just feels good to finally have something I’ve wanted for so long. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go strut around town with my new bag.
